Why we will never have too much carbon dioxide in our atmosphere

by The Real American

Created on: July 30, 2010

There are a lot of myths currently being promoted about Carbon Dioxide and its alarming effects upon our self-sustaining global ecosystem. The first, of which, is that we can even verifiably prove a correlation between Global Warming and historic levels of atmospheric CO2... the second is that we [honestly] possess a reliable record of past CO2 concentrations, prior to the 1960's... the third is that we can effectively track its rates of natural sequestration and organic consumption... and the fourth is that, we even have a clue how much of our current CO2 increase is even man made. Who exactly is collecting all of these necessary samples? No one has ever done a test upon my car, or has even requested my mileage driven each year.

The Truth is that, they aren't standing outside of anyone's car, home, or business sampling and logging these figures - here in America - much less, in any other nation upon Earth. It is equally true that, when: animal populations increase, forest fires rage, volcanoes erupt, plants decompose, and water is evaporated by the heat, CO2 levels naturally increase... and all of these things occur without any assistance from man. I know, crazy isn't it? But, its true. Meanwhile, with the numbers slightly increasing, they are merely acting upon conjecture, assertions, and assumptions - as to why it is factually occurring. Ironically, however, the western world's carbon footprint has been in a verifiable rapid decline for decades.

Take, for instance, The United States of America. We have been lost most of our productive capacity over the last five decades, placed heavy environmental restrictions upon that which remains, and massively improved our technological efficiencies in every area of human endeavor. Moreover, these increasing efficiencies have translated to a significant reduction in Carbon Dioxide emissions. Bear in mind, however, our contribution to them is still substantial. But, we are are at far lower levels than in earlier and largely cooler global periods. The same can be said of: England, Ireland, France, etc....

At the very same time, however, we must consider the newly developing industrial word - which has taken all of our decent paying jobs, and now utilizes 1940's era technology with five cent an hour wages, to produce the very same international products. They're producing a whole lot more CO2, since they aren't equipped to operate efficiently in a fully modernized economy. And yet, does this actually represent a significant
