With the shaky job market and state of economic affairs, many people have been looking for other ways to supplement their income and earn a little extra money.  One easy way to earn some extra money is to write articles.  Of course, it always helps if you have some writing ability and can think of interesting topics to write about.

 Aside from Helium, I have come across a few good websites that allow the user to write articles on a variety of topics and earn some cash at the same time.  Associated Content is a popular website that allows a registered user to write articles on pretty much any topic and build your bank account while doing so.  The website has certain guidelines that the user must follow in order to post their material.  The website requires a 400 word minimum and it provides tools like spell check and word count to assist in writing well structured articles.  Associated Content pays anywhere from $1-$10 per article.  In addition, you may download up to 10 photos or even videos to go with your newly published article.  All payments are sent to PayPal within 24 hours after article is approved and posted.   All regular users have the potential to earn residuals each month every time your article is read.  Please see

 Bukisa is another website that allows the user to register for an account and start posting immediately.  Bukisa allows the user to publish articles on a variety of topics ranging from family recipes to popular vacation destinations.  In addition, the user is permitted to download photographs and videos as long as it coincides with the article topic that was published.  Bukisa is similar to Associated Content in the sense that once an article is written the Bukisa team prior to publication must approval.  Registered users earn money every time their articles are read.  You must earn a minimum of $10 within a month in order to receive payment.  You can view the website at www.bukisa.com. 

 Last by not least, Triond.com is another website that allows registered users to publish content on a variety of topics.  With my experience, the earning potential on this particular website is not so great but at least it pays something.  Triond allows you to post material and interact with other members at the same time.  In addition, other users have the opportunity to read and comment on material posted by other members.  This website also allows users to download photos and videos.  Again, the earning potential is not so great but it is a great way to pass the time and meet new people.  If interested please see www.triond.com.  

 You can always earn money by selling items on Ebay.  However, publishing articles is much easier and you are guaranteed to earn some income.
