Iron Man is a 2008 movie release from Paramount Pictures starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Terence Howard as Tony Stark, Pepper Pots, and Rodey respectively.  Tony Stark is a multi-billionaire who made his fortune due to the fortune made from his family’s weapons manufacturing company Stark Industries.

After Tony is taken captive by Terrorists who want him to make a missile for them, he constructs a prototype “Iron Man” suit and escapes.  Wanting to change his company’s image, he discontinues Stark Industries weapons’ manufacturing and refines the “Iron Man” suit, using it to protect others.

It’s a great movie, a spectacular achievement of visual effects and a good story as well.  Comic book movie adaptations tend to focus on the visual effects, grabbing your attention with “Ooh, ooh, look at my visual effects, I used CGI and now it looks pretty!” and tend to sacrifice a good story.

It’s a great story with good characters and an entertaining and it has great special effects and it’s not really showy like a lot of other special effects movies.  The effects are stunning and they enhance the story and compliment it and make it a very great movie.

The acting is also very well done and the cast is excellent.  Robert Downey Jr. is perfectly cast as the arrogant, selfish Tony Stark and takes his character on a very interesting journey.  Gwyneth Paltrow plays Pepper Pots perfectly and she’s a great one to watch on screen.  She fits into this role perfectly and her acting is spot on. Terence Howard is also terrific as Rodey and he does a great job too.

This is a great comic book movie adaptation and it’s exciting and entertaining and it’s worth your time to watch, especially if you like comic book movies, you’ll definitely like Iron Man.  It’s well written, funny, exciting, and a great movie to watch.  If you’re not into comic book movies, it’s definitely worth a rental.  If you do enjoy comic book movies, you should definitely buy this one.

Also, make sure to watch after the credits as there is an important Easter Egg you’ll probably miss if you hadn’t heard about it already.

Overall, Iron Man is a very fun, entertaining comic book movie that is a fun one to watch and will blow you away.
