THE CRATE'S TREASURE
One day we were working on a job re-installing a fence around a hydro station. It was a job we did regularly at that time of year. This was because the hydro company had to spend their surplus budget or have their budget reduced the following year. This station was used for storing extra materials and training supplies.
We worked steady that morning and then took a break for lunch. As I sat and ate my lunch, I watched one of the other workers roam around looking through stuff. I knew what he was doing. He was looking to see if their was anything valuable that he could scoff. He eventually came to a large crate and pried the lid off. I'll remember the look on his face for ever - it was priceless. When he pryed off the lid and looked inside, he instantly turned white as a ghost. He stumbled backwards in shock and was speechless. This aroused our curiousity. The rest of us got up and went to see what cursed treasure this crate contained. I came to the edge of the crate with the lid pushed back about a foot or so. Inside I saw a pair of work boots attached to a pair of legs - it was a body. I looked a little closer and pulled the lid off completely - brave soul that I am. The body belonged to a dummy - a hydro dummy used for training purposes. We all had a good laugh at our curious comrade and the experience cured him of his snooping expeditions - at least for a day or two.
