Want to make a few extra bucks online? Bright Hub is one of the latest additions to online marketing that pays writers real money. Bright Hub pays writers an upfront fee of $10.00 and continues paying revenue share for article page views. Here is how to get started with the latest quality content provider.

Applying for Managed Editorial Positions

Have your latest writing sample available. Bright Hub starts the application process with the typical contact information. After you have filled out the contact information, the real meat of your experience is required. The next input text box asks for a brief summary of why you should be a part of the Bright Hub team. This is your sales pitch, so put some effort into writing your application. The information you should write includes why you would be a great member of the team, your experience and why you want to be a part of that particular Bright Hub channel.

If you don’t have a writing sample, it is time to make one. The best writing sample is one that focuses on the channel’s topic. Pick a sample that avoids passive voice. Bright Hub also likes writing samples that contain instructional value for users as well as search engine optimization (SEO) text.

Picking Articles to Write

After you get through the writing application phase, you get a confirmation email that confirms you are approved as a Bright Hub writer. Log into the web site with the credentials you used to submit your application.  At the top-right corner of your screen is a link named “Writer Dashboard.” Click it to see your main console. Click “Opportunities” to enter the article area where you can choose to write on a particular topic. Click the “Claim Article” button to select an article to write. The price to write the article is included in the description.

Writing a Bright Hub Article

Writing the article is simple, provided you take into account the keywords required in the assignment. When you take a Bright Hub assignment, the editor asks for keywords. You are required to assign an HTML title for the article, which should incorporate the SEO keywords as close as possible. Bright Hub articles require 450 words, but this does not include section headers or the “teaser” paragraph. The teaser paragraph is a couple sentences that start the article information.

Submit your article. You must wait a day or two until the contributing manager has time to read over your article. The CM can make changes and add SEO values to the content. The CM may make suggestions that help you with the next article submission. When your content is published, a credit is made to your account for payment.

It may take several months before you can build up enough revenue for Bright Hub. Payment is made at the middle of the month, and you must submit your tax ID before you are paid. Bright Hub is a nice way to make a little extra cash during your spare time. It also lets to write articles at a nominal fee while earning continual revenue each month. You do not get a payment until you reach $20 in your account, which includes only 2 articles for the month.
