The worst kept secret by many women is facial hair! Even blondes who are supposed to have more fun can have dark brown facial hair under the chin and on their upper lip. Scientists believe this “excess” of hair is sometimes caused by a hormonal imbalance and will most often occur in women who are categorized as overweight or obese. But all is not lost because there are over the counter solutions to fix this problem.
Some women can have a dark shadow of hair on their upper lip, on their chin and even high on the cheek bone. The hair follicle is thick and can irritate the skin. This can cause women to feel insecure about their appearance and lead to excessive make-up being applied to cover the nuisance. Applying make-up daily can irritate the skin causing breakouts. Below is the history of my facial hair removal and the current process that supersedes all the others!
When I was 16 yrs old I found one stray hair on my face and shaved it off with a razor. Of course ten hairs grew back and I would have to shave them off which irritated my skin. The skin under my chin became very tough and rapidly filled with razor bumps. Also the hair would grow back in three days! As I got older I found out about facial hair remover creams. However the side effects would make my sensitive skin break out from the chemicals. Also if I left the product on for too long, once I rubbed it off, my skin would come off with it! It would literally burn a hole on my face where the small hair follicle used to reside. So I would walk around with red irritated skin or huge scabs on my face just to remove a hair that would grow back that week! After that ordeal I started to use a pair of tweezers while leaning in very close to my bathroom mirror. But most of the time I wasn't pulling the hair from the root. If the hair breaks off or is cut unevenly it can curl back into the skin and cause bumps to form.
Earlier this year I visited a friend in Virginia Beach who had a weird looking product in her bathroom. The machine resembled an electric shaver. She let me know it was a rapid tweezer machine that she purchased at www.folica.com. The website offers various options on the amount of tweezers available on this spinning machine. From 15 to over 35 tweezer heads and the machines are very affordable. I purchased mine with shipping included for less than $30. Once my package arrived (3 days later) I quickly un-wrapped it, read the instructions and hoped for the best! What happened
