Like Bruno, I don't make it a habit to respond to people's articles. GOPMOM is certainly entitled to her opinion. However, I was also a Girl Scout leader and mom to a former Brownie and I have to say it right now...I really don't think seven or eight year old girls give a fig about Liberal agendas, or Right Wing agendas, for that matter. They just want to hang out, sell the cookies and eat s'mores around the campfire.

Now, let's look at the fantasy world we moms(and dads) like to live in. We instill the moral values important to us in our children, and hope and pray it sinks in. I know when I hop on my bandwagon, and start sprouting my beliefs; why I think it's important to put off sex for as long as possible, sex is best when it's in a committed relationship...blah, blah blah, my daughter gives me the courtesy shrug and is pretty much off in her own little world, hoping and praying a pack of wild dogs will come kill the infiltrator. She's a charmer, my daughter.
Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I've had plenty of friends who came from a conservative family background. Guess what? They were the wildest people I knew, completely went agaisnt everything their parents believed.
I don't believe providing our daughters with information is going to make them go one way or the other. At some point they will leave the safety of our homes, and make their own decisions, whether we like it or not.
And seriously, all those little Brownies could give a rat's patoot about Planned Parenthood. I think it's time for a Thin Mint!
