How to make the most money from freelance writing

Freelance writing is an excellent career for anyone that is looking to work from home with a flexible schedule.  In order to be able to make a comfortable living from your freelance writing career there are a few things you need to do to maximize your earning potential.

Treat your writing career like a traditional job.

Even though you may night be working the traditional 9 to 5, you still need to prepare to work.  You will not have a boss standing behind you making sure you get your work done, so you need to be sure to set daily goals and meet them.  Also be sure to take regular breaks and scheduled time off to avoid burnout.

Set attainable goals.

Set a monthly target income.  This will help you stay focused and work towards your goal by breaking it down into smaller increments such as daily or hourly earnings.  Start off small and gradually aim to increase these numbers until you reach your monthly goal.

Deliver high quality articles.

By delivering only your best, your writing will speak for itself and greatly increase your chances for repeat business from the same customers.  It is much easier to get repeat business than new customers.

Use online writing sites.

There are numerous online writing sites where you can earn a passive income through either ad revenue share or upfront payments.  These sites can help you earn some extra money by just spending a little time.  By using these sites your work may also get noticed by people interested in purchasing content for their websites or blogs.

Produce.

The more articles you write, the more income you will earn.  If you are paid by article, you will want to produce great quality articles in the shortest amount of time possible.  By using voice recognition software, you can greatly increase the number of articles you can write.  Another way to increase your writing is to take a piece you already wrote and rewrite it with a different twist.

Promote yourself.

Another, very important, aspect of earning money as a freelance writer, especially if you participate in ad revenue share, is to draw as much traffic to your articles as possible.  This can be done by posting links on any social media sites that you belong to.

As you can see, the earning possibilities are endless with a freelance writing career.  You just need to set goals, stay focused and put forth your best work and you will be well on your way to making a nice income.
