Forbidden is our love,
Though not from up above.
Man has grown too tall,
Distant from things divine,
So stands between us, this wall.
The Almighty knows our grief
In Him is everlasting peace.
We must please Him while apart,
Knowing there is hope,
With tears welling in our hearts.
I told you our souls are tied,
I think, you think I lied.
But in paradise I’ll see your face,
Place it against my chest,
And eternally, we shall embrace.
