The Pool

Bobby was three years old.  He was very happy because his Mommy and Daddy were going to let him swim in the pool for the first time.  His Mommy had even bought him a pair of bright red swimming trunks.  When he got close to the pool, however, he began to scream.
“Mommy!  Mommy!  There's a monster in the water!”  Bobby no longer wanted to go swimming.

One year later, Bobby insisted he go swimming in the pool.  After all, the lake was okay.
“There's no monster, Mom!  Don't be silly.”  But once again he screamed when he got close to the water.
When Bobby turned six, he tried the pool again, and again the monster.  Now his parents were getting worried, but they soon forgot their Son's horrified screams.  Fear of swimming was common for a child his age, they were told.
For ten more years the pool was the center of Bobby's fears.  But on his sixteenth birthday, that changed.
His parents were out of town for the weekend, and Bobby took the time to enjoy it.  He went out into the back yard, pulling a lawn chair into the shade.  As he sat down to enjoy being alone, he heard his name.
He looked towards the pool, where the sound had come from, and saw a very beautiful girl, in a very small bikini.
“Hey Bobby!  Come over here and put some lotion on my back!”  She called him, her voice like the song of a thousand sirens.  He was mesmerized.
“Who are you?”  He asked, never having seen her before and wondering how she had gotten here.
“I'm Lila.  I just moved into the neighborhood, and I didn't think you'd mind if I payed you a visit.   So..  Will you come over here before I burn up?”  She waved a bottle of lotion at him as she said it, grinning mischievously.
Uncertain of what to do, Bobby remembered his fear of the pool.  But when he looked at Lila, he seemed to forget all about it.  He went over to her, and took the lotion from her.
“So.  How did you get in here?”  He asked, as he squeezed some of the lotion into his hand.
“Oh.  The gate.  It was open so I came in.  I hope you don't mind?”  She flashed him a dazzling smile, the likes of which could blind a dead man.
“No, not at all.”  Bobby forgot that they didn't have a gate.
When he finished with the lotion, Lila stood up.  Her whole body
