Vermont is known as the Green Mountain State and the Green Mountains play a large part of any travel to Vermont. The outdoors and all the activities that this involves in every season are what attract so many tourists to the state. When you planning a Vermont vacation, you will want to find the best Vermont travel websites to help you. Here are some to get you started on your planning.
Vermont Vacation is the official state of Vermont tourism site. You are welcomed to the site with a four season slideshow. Vermont is beautiful in every season and you will have visual evidence of that. When you want to plan a trip to the Green Mountain State using the best Vermont travel websites will help to make that possible.
Above the seasonal photos are the tabs to take you to more pages of information. You can choose from Travel Planner, Vermont by Season, Discover Vermont, About Vermont and Travel resources. On the right hand side right below travel resources is My Trip where you can actually save your plans and things that you want to do or bookings. You will need to set up an account that you can log into to do this but it will only take a couple minutes and you will undoubtedly be glad you did.
If you click on Vermont by season, it will bring up the current season first. Summer offers additional links to golf and camping, fall-foliage and insider’s guide, winter –fun for the non-skier and spring –back country biking and flavors of the country. Flavors of the Country is a very interesting article about Farmers Markets in Vermont and a listing of where you can find them. The right hand bottom of the page with this article is a list of facts about Maple and since maple is a big part of spring in Vermont, it is right on topic.
Underneath the photo on the homepage is Start Planning . Here you can really get to the nitty gritty of planning. There are links for lodging, dining, attractions, events, recreation, shopping, packages and room availability. You now have the tools you need to plan your Vermont vacation.
On the left lower section of the homepage there is a link you can click to buy products made in Vermont and below is the ski report which from November to April is where most people want to check. You can follow them on FaceBook and Twitter and also get a newsletter as well as download and request brochures. This is a good site, quite comprehensive in scope and variety of information.
