Poetry: Birds

by Ticia

Created on: July 28, 2010

The birds of the dawn

It's quiet and peaceful

All over the world we are drawn

As the chorus begins our morn

Our feathered friends awaken us

We lie in our beds and hear the sound

At the early dawn they don't make a fuss

They just entertain us all around

They have a freedom we can only dream

A power to soar through the skies

A natural wonder beyond our imagination

The simplicity of a nice surprise

The season of spring is here

Flowers are beginning to grow

The birds are singing very clear

As I gaze through my window

Summer magic fills the trees with sounds

Chirping and singing happily

New adventures will begin new surrounds

As winter approaches and becomes blistery

They fly away to another land

Far distances they shall go

Over the seas they will soar with command

In other trees they will bestow
