Is it okay to test cosmetics on animals? Did you give a monkey a makeover? Does that dog like it's new shampoo? How about we curl that horse's mane. Cruel? Probably not. Ideal? No, not really. So people if we all object and say how sadistic animal testing is, I ask you- "What should we test it on?"  Babies?  Kids? What?  So an animal is uncomfortable and I am sorry for that, but I'd much rather find out that the lotion gives a rash to a cat or rat before I applied it to my own skin. Until we come up with synthetic humans, I guess animals will have to be the guinea pigs.

I'm really infuriated by the fact that so much emphasis nowadays  is put on animal rights issues. What about human rights?! Why is everyone so obsessed over a few kittens being mistreated when kids are being fed unhealthy food at school lunches, lead and other harmful chemicals are found in toys, bottles and even in lotions that are in contact with babies and toddlers on a daily basis. Why aren't you people up in arms about that? What about the babies!?

Why do we think it's okay for China to market cheap and unsafe items that injure or kill babies when a part malfunctions? How come celebrities are not speaking up for safer products for children and infants, but are whining and crying over sick puppies at the shelter? Grow up people! Animals are cute and all, they should be treated right, but we have bigger fish to fry! We are being poisoned by chemicals put into our shampoos, Teflon getting into our food from pans and who knows what else. What if they quit testing products on animals? Then we test them on ourselves. My point is, there is already a host of unsafe items out there, do we really need more?

I am sorry for test-animals but is it any worse than starving to death or dying of a disease? There is a surplus of animals due to improper breeding practices. What are we going to let these animals roam the street so they can be "free?"  So they can be hit by cars, bite people or die of starvation? Nice. Really the crime is not in animal testing it's in stupidity. We should all spay and neuter pets to cut down on unwanted animals, that would be a start at least and once again- we should all be more concerned about human rights, not animal obsessed. Our children should come first!
