Everyone who is known to his or her family and friends as an advanced computer user who can fix many errors knows the problem; the telephone can ring at any time of the day with someone asking you to come over to fix a computer problem.
I actually did this for a long time but I found out a better way to go about fixing computer problems without having to leave my chair; remote assistance. Some operating systems such as Windows XP include remote assistance software, but they're not always the most user-friendly programs to offer help to someone remotely.
In this article, I'll show you an easy way to set up a connection between two PC's so that you can help your friends and family out in a matter of minutes without any hassle on both sides.
= TeamViewer =
TeamViewer is a program that allows you to access any computer remotely, providing that the other computer is running the TeamViewer server and the user gave permission to do so. All this is easily done without having to worry about firewalls, IP-addresses or NAT configurations. Firewalls are known to cause trouble with remote assistance software, but if you use TeamViewer, you can forget about these troubles. This program finds the other computers through any firewall.
TeamViewer offers great performance and optimizes the display quality and speed depending on your network connection so that you'll always have minimum lag. Another great feature includes file transferring, which enables you to copy files and folders so that you can install software on the other computer. TeamViewer also works the other way around: you can show your screen to let's say colleagues to show them your latest software solutions, products and Powerpoint presentations.
If you're not at home and you have to help someone out, you can always pop into a library or Internet cafe and control their PC through any browser. TeamViewer offers this service called TeamViewer Web Connector which is build in HTML and Flash, which runs on nearly any browser and any operating system.
You may wonder if all of this is free. Luckily it is, but only for private purposes. If you will use TeamViewer in your company, you do have to pay for a license. More than sixty million users in more than fifty countries already used TeamViewer successfully. If you want to give it a try to, click this link to visit TeamViewer.com.
