Lane Home Furnishings is a line of furniture that is sold in their retail stores and distributed to other retail outlets. Besides their own line of furniture they also carry the Eddie Bauer line. They have been in business since 1912 and the name of their business at that time was Standard Red Cedar Chest Company and it was run by Ed Lane and his son John Lane. The company is now owned by Furniture Brands International that also makes the lines of Broyhill, Thomasville, Drexel Heritage and Maitland Smith.
When we started looking for theater seating for our new home theater we went to every store in Las Vegas that carried furniture. We look online at the different outlets and just couldn't find what we want or the price was outrageous. We heard about a store in town called Lane and had never been there so we went and checked it out. It wasn't a large store but had a wide range of products. We started browsing and found the section on home theater seating. They had a nice selection, which was surprising for a smaller store. The sales lady was very helpful; she let us look around without bothering us and was there to answer our questions when we needed them. The chairs we ended up getting were upholstered in leather and the options we were given was varied from style of leather to the quality of the leather. Some places we had gone to the wait time to receive the furniture was in the months and most of it was 10 12 weeks, but with Lane the wait time was 6 8 weeks and we received them in 6 weeks.
The best part about the chairs is that the leather has a 5 year guarantee on it, which means that if you have a pencil in your pocket and poke a hole in the leather they will fix it for free. Not only is the leather guaranteed for 5 years but so are the mechanisms and the frame. Lane Home Furnishings is a line of furniture that we will buy from again. The staff was helpful and we are very satisfied with the product we received and are actually looking at buying a new living room furniture set and will buy it from Lane. So to answer the question is Lane worth the price of buying it, I would have to say yes. We have been completely satisfied with our chairs and would we will definitely buy from them in the future.
