I have wanted to see this film for some time now and even when I bought the DVD it still sat in the cupboard for over a month. With hubby being away again I took the chance to sit and watch it and I am so glad I did.
The film starts with a young girl called Bryony writing a ply to celebrate her brother coming home on a visit. She tries to get the children who are staying with her family to act out the arts so they can perform it but it does not go to plan and so she forgets it. Bryony is than looking out of her bedroom window at Robbie Turner, he helps out at the families massive family home, she sees him talking to her elder sister Cecilia and then Bryony watches as Cecilia strips off and jumps into the fountain, she has jumped in to try and recover a piece of the broken vase which got broke when she and Robbie were having a discussion and he offered to help her fill it with water. Bryon is very upset by this as she thinks she is in love with Robbie.
As Bryony brother turns up he bring a friend with him who takes a shine to the other young girl who is staying with the family. Robbie is later at home getting ready for the evening meal and he is trying to write a letter of apology to Cecilia over what happened with the vase. He types a very rude letter which he does not intend on posting but in his hurry to get to the dinner on time he picks up the wrong letter. On his way he sees Bryony in the woods and asks her to go ahead with the letter and to give it to Cecilia. It is only when she has run off home he realises the mistake he has made and is very embarrassed when he arrives at the house.
When Bryony returns home she opens the letter and is very upset and disgusted with what she has read. She does pass the letter onto Cecilia who then goes and meets Robbie at the front door. Bryony then gets changed for dinner and when she is coming down the stairs she spots her sisters hair slide shining on the floor and goes into the library where she comes across Cecilia and Robbie in a very compromising situation. Bryony is very upset over this. Cecelia and Robbie finally declare their love for one another and are happy to be together.
Later that evening when the family and guests sit down for their meal they discover that the twin boys who are also staying at the house have run away. The entire family set about trying to find them but as they are out in the dark the elder girl who
