It seems to me that mmany people are searching for their Life Purpose - basically asking the question, "What do I want to be when I grow up?" However, I've also been noticing that people are looking a little deeper than "want to be" and trying to find meaning. This simple exercise should help you find your best place in life.
You will need a quiet place, paper and pencil.
1. Begin by calming yourself, your mind. Meditation is very good for this. Some people effectively use prayer to come to a peaceful state. For some, sitting outside, a long peaceful walk, or taking a hot bath can induce a relaxed state of mind. Do whatever works for you.
2. Once you are relaxed ask your guardian angels to join you, ask them to guide you, ask them to intervene in your life, and, ask them to bring you clear messages that are easy for you to understand. Tell them that you are going to be working with paper and pencil and ask them to communicate with you using that medium. Tell them you are looking for your Life's Purpose. Hold this thought in your heart (that your angels are there, guiding, and are giving you clear messages), and say thank you to them for joining you.
3. Begin by writing down all the times in your life that you were doing something that made you happy, that brought great peace, joy and comfort into your life. Don't judge these things - JUST WRITE. Even if the thing you write down seems to be well off of life purpose - write it down! For example; one of the things that's on my list is knitting and crocheting. I can't see that my life's purpose would be to knit - but this activity DOES bring me great peace. Once you feel you have a complete and good sized list - AND TAKE YOUR TIME ON THIS - thank your angels for helping you see the wonderful parts of your life. Thank them for showing you exactly what brings you joy, peace, and happiness.
4. Next ask your angels to help you clearly see the patterns and understand the deeper activities. Than examine your list again. For example; if you wrote down things like loving baseball games, huge BBQ's with lots of family, and amusement parks with a group of your friends - what's the common theme? The common theme for this might be - being with large groups of people that are all happy and enjoying themselves. If you wrote down searching for cool things on the internet, reading, and deep conversations with close friends - the theme might be the gathering and sharing of information. If you wrote down flower gardening, redecorating
