You just installed a Windows application, and apparently the application didn't meet your expectation. There are some possibilities why an application doesn't meet user's expectation:
1. It simply doesn't run, due to some bugs, programming errors, compatibility problems. It may find later that the computer doesn't meet its minimum requirement, or the computer just barely met the requirements, resulting in slow performance.
2. Advertising is sometimes exaggerated. This application will do this and that, and apparently it doesn't, or it does, but not well.
3. You may decide to switch to another similar application created by some competitors. There are more than 1 application for almost everything you need, and you want to choose. Which one? It's best to try them first.
4. If it's a game, you may have completed the game and usually when you do, you'll find the game boring and no longer want to play it. Or on the contrary, you find the game too difficult to play and decide to stop playing it. There are tons of other reasons why you don't want to play a particular game.
Once you find an application no longer wanted or needed, the next thing you'll want to do is remove it from the computer, to free some space. Some applications run in the background, so that once remove, the computer will run faster with the lighter burden.
How to remove an application in Windows?
1. Many applications come with uninstallation program. In the start menu, at the program group, "Uninstall" icon is usually placed within the same folder as the executables. Just click on it and follow the given instruction, and the application will be removed. Many major applications come with this feature.
2. If the application doesn't have "Uninstall" icon in the program folder in the start menu, you can use "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. Just open up control panel, double click on Add/Remove Programs (in Windows XP) or Programs and Features (in Windows Vista and Windows 7, Control Panel, Large icons mode) or click on the command "Uninstall a program" (in Windows Vista and Windows 7, Control Panel, Category mode). All those commands will bring up list of installed programs in your computer, and you just need to choose which one to uninstall. Double-click on those, and follow the given instruction.
Things that you need to know regarding removing a program:
1. Never ever just delete the program folder in your hard drive, because installation of a program not only includes copying files into
