Products that can help men with hair loss:

*Don't feel like you are alone if you're getting bald:

Men...if you believe you're one of a "few" men who are losing your hair...you're wrong. One quarter of the men who are in their 20s experience hair loss, and did you know, half of the men in their 50s go bald? It doesn't matter if you had a thick head of hair early in life, you can "still" have baldness as you age. Just a few short years back, men had "no" other options but to wear toupees or to get plugs, this was the only things available to them. Many men suffered from being bald and it caused in-security in a lot of them.

*Quality hair products now available to help in baldness:

Quality hair products are now available which can help both men and women who are bald. The clinical name for baldness is "androgenetic alopecia," which is caused by the chemistry on a person's scalp. This begins with testosterone, the male sex hormone. It is a harmless hormone on its own but it gets converted to dicey dihdrotestosterone (DHT) as it makes contact with oil glands in hair follicles. The oil glands hold the enzyme Type II 5-alpha reductase, which plays havoc with your male hormone.

This DHT gets into your scalp follicles and causes them to shrink. As it is doing this, it causes the protective membrane of the scalp to thicken and this restricts the blood flow to the capillaries. This causes any further hair growth to be possible. The hair then falls out at a natural rate and they aren't replaced.

*Stop DHT:

A man/woman should attack the DHT before it gets a hold and turns you into a bald person. There are substances that are found in nature that have shown a block in the action of 5-alpha reductase, which blocks DHT production. These consists of zinc, saw palmetto, ginko biloba, and pro-vitamin B5 which are being used in men's products to keep hair young and healthy.

As we halt the damage done by DHT, these products revive the hair follicles, which remain dormant. Once the thick membrane is thinned, the follicle will reopen and the hair will grown naturally again without the use of wigs or plugs. Did you know, MiN products offers a complete line of hair care and grooming products which can keep the hair looking good and thick. There is not a known cure for male pattern baldness but the proper products can slow it down and prevent it.

*MiN's products:

MiN's products are ideal for those men who may feel or see the onset of pattern baldness, and for that matter, for any man who wants to keep his hair on his own. When these products are used properly, it will keep out the chemicals from ruining your mane. Be sure to check out Min's Maintenance products to see what products meet your hairs needs. The products available are:

(1)   Wash and rinse cleansing pads which features plant-derived fatty acids that inhibit 5-alpha reductase enzymes before they react with testosterone. Also the Pro-vitamin B5 and zinc serves as a backup as it latches on the binding sites in the hair follicle where DHT would do its damage.

The Vitamins A, C and E forage for and kill free radicals that causes the tissue damage, while the wheat and silk proteins strengthens and nourishes the hair follicles. Xanthan and glycerin gum keeps and maintains the scalp's moisture which prevents dandruff. Then the aloe vera eases the scalp tension, making the hair more manageable.

This rinse is formulated to wash off completely and no residue builds up on the hair or scalp.

(2)  Grooming Creme offered by MiN's provides control without being a gel. It causes the hair to be soft and manageable especially for those with frizzy and difficult hair. It contains great conditioning ingredients which nourish the hair throughout the day.

(3)  Travel Lite 10 Pack is available for those who like to travel light.  A set contains 10 Wash & Rinse Duo Packs are available in 0.25 ounces each.

*Propecia:

There's a new drug called Propecia which treats mild to moderate male pattern hair loss on the vertex (top of the head) and anterior mid-scalp area (middle front of head) in "Men Only". It has not been proven that it works for receding hairline at the temples. Propecia is not recommended as a treatment for women because the active ingredient may cause abnormalities of a male baby's sex organs.

It's suggested all men should talk with their doctors before asking to be prescribed Propecia because there have been several sexual side effects when taking it.
