BMW, oftentimes known as the ultimate driving machine, is a car for the driving enthusiast in all of us. Known as a real "drivers" car, a BMW allows you to feel the road and makes the driver feel like part of the car. While a BMW is a dream-car for some, it's not for everyone. Unlike most luxury cars BMW does not shield the driver from bumps in the road. Pure sports-car fans love to feel the road, your average luxury car fan may opt for more cushy suspension.
BMW is oftentimes referred to as Bimmer so if you hear this term don't be thrown-off. BMW makes many different models each aimed a little different audience, all aimed at people who love to drive. The BMW 1-Series is a small sporty car in an affordable price range. It is similarly priced to the BMW 3-Series which is a big bigger but still applies to a similar audience.
For people who like smaller, sporty cars the BMW 1-Series and Z4 Roadster offer incredible performance without completely breaking the bank. Serious sports-car enthusiasts like BMW's M-Series cars like the M5, M6 and X-Series M. BMW M-Series cars are more expensive but offer incredible performance and handling that will leave even the most die-hard adrenaline junkie completely satisfied.
However BMW makes much more than just fast sporty cars. The BMW X5 and X6 SUV and Crossover are both great family cars and good for someone that wants to take some more adventures in the great outdoors. Let's face it - taking a small sporty car to woods just doesn't make as much sense! The BMW X5 is one of the best-selling luxury SUV's out there and it definitely feel much more like a luxury car than a sports car, but trust me, it handles like a sports car.
The BMW 5-Series and 7-Series are bigger cars aimed at business-people and families. The BMW 7-Series is Bimmer's largest sedan and definitely the most comfortable BMW out there. The back-seat is a lot like a living room so long family car trips are a breeze in the 7-Series.
In summary, BMW makes a great car for a certain type of driver. If you are a sports-car enthusiast and you truly enjoy driving then you are likely to be quite satisfied with a BMW. If you want a more cushy ride and you don't care about the thrill of driving, then another luxury car manufacturer might be a better fit for you.
