Vacation Time: Visit North Carolina.
North Carolina is rich in history and fantastic things to see and do. From coast to coast, there are natural attractions as well as many made to order sites. Visitors of all ages and gender will enjoy the many attractions that NC has to offer.
Some things to consider when visiting North Carolina is, what it is YOU want to explore and experience. Is it the natural wonders of the miles and miles of crystal white, pristine beaches, the skyline wonders of the mountains or base-line valleys?
While taking all these sites in, there are the many parks and recreational areas of interest. Hiking, cycling, camping, dining and general site seeing are little perks of the visit.
Just to give you an idea of what you can find in North Carolina, let’s start with Charlotte. Charlotte boasts of at least 101 things to do: To name a few, there is the U.S. National Whitewater Center which is great with its class III-IV rapids, hiking and biking trails, one of the largest climbing surfaces in the nation, and an 1,100 ft. Mega Zip line, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, The EpiCentre which houses a number of retailers, restaurants and, the Pavilion, which hosts many summer events and entertaining performances, Billy Graham Library, Carowinds’, Concord Mills, NBA Charlotte Bobcats, NASCAR Hall of Fame, CIAA Men and Women’s Basketball Tournament: OK, there are pages more of these attractions. Durham is another city rich in history and sights to see. Durham’s creative and entrepreneurial community displays great pride in their city with and is the proud home of Research Triangle Park, Duke and North Carolina Central universities. Among the interest holders are: Flightseeing, Hiking / Jogging / Biking Areas, Horseback Riding, Durham City & County Parks, Waterways & Water Activities, Historic Sites & Displays: Historic Places & Landmarks: Historical Collections, and Civil War Durham. Research Triangle Park, Duke, North Carolina Central universities and many City of Medicine, USA, medical and weight management centers are part of historic Durham’s makeup. In count there are, 13 historic sites, three art centers, 12 signature annual events with national or regional recognition, dozens other core and celebrated annual events, six science and nature centers, and great spectator sports venues. Durham is considered a ‘happening’ city. Durham list over 300 reasons to visit the area.
Other places of interest in North Carolina include Fayetteville, Greensboro, Raleigh, Winston-Salem, with far too many things to list here.
