Lesson in Lies

And I tried to find comfort

in those words you sold me

But I went broke with the lies

And you are not here to hold me

And now i have nothing

No you or false meaning

I thought they were truth

But like fairytale endings

I got caught up,

Caught in your eyes

They spoke something to me

-Didn't know they were lies

and suddenly, the tale I bought into changed

It was solely a fable

and I was turning the page

I would learn a lesson

That "happy" was on me

and I couldn't rely on

well…. Anybody.
