Dreams and nightmares

WHY DO PEOPLE DREAM?
Some people believe dreams are merely the garbled information and images we recieve throughout the day while some cultures such as Native Americans believe dreams are messages from the deities of other worlds. Whatever you believe and whether or not you remember them in the morning, one thing is for certain: everyone dreams.

In my opinion, a dream can serve not only as a message from another world but also as a mess of garbled information and an insight to your own feelings. I've had dreams were I firmly believe a spirit was reaching out to me. I dreamt several times of my aunt for years after she passed as well as my great grandmother. And when I was deep in faery magick, I made several faery friends through my dreams. I also had dreams according to what I was feeling at the time. If I was angry, I dreamt of killing. If I was happy, I dreamt of adventure and fun and laughter. If I was stressed, I had nightmares. And if I was lonely, I dreamt of being pregnant.

FAERY DREAMS
I thought it would be fun to share some of my faery dreams.

Dream 1. There is an old faery woman who has come to me in my dreams on more than one occasion. In the first dream she read some of my written work and gave me some good criticism. In another dream, she came to me, said nothing, and placed her hand over my womb. I felt it was a gesture of blessing, and ever since the dream I have had a fondness for children I never knew before. It's hard for me to admit I like chlidren now when I always talked about mowing them down with a lawnmower. And that change in me is what strengthens my belief that this faery woman was real.

Dream 2. Lynist the Joy Faery. Lynist appears as a little brown girl with long black hair and a tiny blue gown. She runs barefoot through trees and loves more than anything to take your hands and spin and laugh with you, thus the title I gave her: Joy Faery. She told me her name was Lynist, and since then I've called her the Joy Faery. I believe one of my books is dedicated to her.

Dream 3. An old faery came to me who looks vey much like the Sage in Macbeth and Froud's Faerie's Oracle. He had a long leafy beard and piercing eyes. In the dream, he played the most beautiful music for me a long flute. I mean, the music was so beautiful it was just out of this world. I kept telling myself in the dream that when I awoke I just had to remember the music. I awoke trying to hum it and I even grabbed my recorder from the closet and
