Bible study: The second coming of Christ and the rapture

The second coming of Christ and the rapture.

The Bible talks about the second coming of Christ. It does not talk about the rapture. The Bible tells us when Christ returns " every eye shall see Him".  There is not going to be any hidden agenda where the church will be unknowingly transported from earth and the rest of the world continues on oblivious of the end of the reign of sin.The Bible tells us that "...the dead in Christ shall rise first and then those that are alive in Christ shall be caught up in the air to meet Him"...That text is very self-explanatory.

When the angels accompanying Christ on His return to put an end to this earth as we know it, there will be noise like we never heard. Imagine legions of angels blowing trumpets! One mortal human being blowing a trumpet too close to you can almost deafen you. In the first place when that cloud, the size of a man's fist appears in the eastern sky and then begins to grow bigger and bigger, everything and everyone will come to a standstill. Everyone will be watching and waiting with bated breath. Believers and non-believers alike will be anxiously watching that cloud gradually become the scene that so many poets, authors and painters have vividly described in several different ways. The quickening, life giving presence of Christ and the noise of those trumpets will burst open the tomb of every believer who died with the hope of resurrection.

The Bible also tells us that the wicked will run to the rocks crying out for those rocks to fall on them as they try to escape the brightness of  the countenance of Jesus. Sin cannot stand in the presence of God. It is then they will realize that their probation is over. Christ has returned and they are on the devil's side. There is still time for anyone reading this article to turn his or her life over to to and join a Bible believing church and be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and The Holy Ghost. That brings me to another fact of the Bible. We are told in God's word that The Holy Spirit/Ghost's presence and influence will gradually wane as that great day draws closer and closer. It behooves us all then, to make our calling and election sure.

I guess all I am trying to convey in this article is that there must be no confusion in ours. It is the time when the devil and his demonic host will be put out of the business of stalking, overcoming and destroying humans. Wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, pestilences and diseases are the order of these days that are leading up to that joyous day. The devil has put it in the mind of many to mislead others with this talk about the rapture. My advice is  for everyone to get into the Bible and read what God himself says about that great day. The following texts give a clear vision of some aspects of that glorious day: Matt. 24:30; Luke 21: 27-31; Rev. 22: 7, 12, 20
