Poetry: Facing life

by Rosie Coombs

Created on: July 25, 2010

Facing life is sometimes very difficult,

Some things you'd rather not witness,

Death, sadness, guilt, depression.

Others, you will be glad you're alive for,

Birth, happiness, love, excitement.

Life can be unfair to some of us,

But it can be fond of others.

When you face up to life, you're facing up to reality.

You realise that things don't always land at your feet,

And sometimes some of us are lost due to fate.

Enjoying every day you have, is facing life.

Living to the full, loving to the max,

Taking every day as it comes,

Accepting every day that is lost.

Facing life is sometimes difficult but we should be grateful.
