Mega Man 10 for the Wii is one that is interesting. It feels right when having Mega Man on Nintendo since the classic series identifies with it. There are also Xbox 360 and PS3 versions but are all downloadable. This one is going to be focusing specifically for the Wii and does not cost a lot. It’s going back to the classic style and the one that made Mega Man famous in the NES days. It was done in the late 1980s and early 1990s on the system itself.
The story in this involves Roboenza being a disease. Roll catches it and it is up to Mega Man to take care of it finding the solution. Dr. Wily is claiming he had nothing to do with it but everyone should know he is behind everything. He’s that evil and trying to throw everyone off. Of course, he is believed but then finally announces he did it. Of course, it’s up to Mega Man. The classic series has never been about a huge storyline but that’s just the way it has always been.
Graphically, the game was made to look like an NES game and it has the retro feel. It has that good feel and just feels like a Mega Man game. There isn’t much else to add about it. They don’t look much different than the previous Mega Man games. The backgrounds were just fine and the sprites were what they were expecting. It doesn’t make the game and nothing that would be considered worth complaining about.
The game play is just playing it like the NES. You can have the Wiimote held side ways having it feel like the NES controller. Of course, if you want to, you can use the classic controller in case of accidentally hitting a button that you did not intend to hit. You can play initially as either Mega Man or Proto Man. There is also another downloadable character in Bass added. Unlike Mega Man 9, he has his own story as well. You select the robot masters and begin playing. Then just simply play it like a regular Mega Man game and just get to the robot master and destroy them and take their power. In short, it’s really easy to understand and play if you’ve played various Mega Man games over the years.
It should be noted that Blade Man is also the robot master from the Mega Man 3 PC game that is very rare. There should also be a note that the Hard Mode can be unlocked only by completing normal mode winning. Of course, it would be only recommended for the video game player that would be considered an expert or wanting to take on a new challenge.
The challenge mode has different challenges in place with two different sets. It sounds interesting and can be challenging but can be something to do if bored of course. The main goal is simply just beat the game and get to the end.
Overall, the game is fun to play and not something to be considered hated so much. It’s a classic Mega Man game and does follow the tradition. You can download it for any console and it will work just as well. If you are into the classic series, it is one that would be worth playing and having some fun with. The only question after that will be a possible Mega Man 11 in the near future but that’s another story.
