Since I can't see into the future.
That also means I cannot see
Where I'll be or what I'll be doing
Who knows what fate has in store for me?
Maybe I'm headed towards some purpose
Or prehaps things aren't as they appear.
How can I pretend to know where I'm going
When I'm not sure I know how I even got here!
But what if fate is just some big puzzle?
And our days are it's pieces correctly arranged?
That make us believe everything happens for a reason
Is just another way of saying fate's plans have been changed.
But with fate you must always be careful.
It's so fragile even it touched by a tickle.
What once was now is no more
There's nothing else in life as fragliley fickle.
If it's true our lives are already determined
Then there's one thing I just don't understand?
How is this true about all human life In A World
Where nothing ever plays out like it's planned.
Each one of us travels the same journey
Down roads as unique as our own reflection.
Setting off into the greatest of unknowns
Without even the slightest sense of direction..
Fate brings us down winding roads
That lead to the same different places.
Until the day we reach the comfort and greeting
And warm smiles of a few familiar faces.
Each journey is unique as it is different.
Even while on the same roads this path still is our own.
The good thing about this journey through fate
Is that you don't have to make it alone.
Headed towards different destinations
Often leads down roads that eventually intersect.
As together you find pieces to your puzzle
That make all the other ones some how connect.
Even when you've been there and done that
And can count the miles you've walked by more than a few.
I still won't worry about when I'll get there
I figure I'll make it there whenever I do!
Some days are calm, cool, and collected
Others feel like their straight out a circus
Fate makes you make the best of bad situations
And see if you can pull out a purpose.
Ironically your journey goes by so quickly
You blink then tear years later you feel like you're dreaming.
As you pile your experiences with memories
And try to come up with some kind of meaning.
It's true each person's fate is different
Yet in the end all our fates are the same.
Through deeds and our words we give purpose and meaning
To the memory that gave life to our name.
Out all of this my faith gives me hope
As I answer the universes complicating equation.
That I lived my life that defined a meaning
That was the intended purpose of my creation.

BY THE WATER'S EDGE...
My river runs dry
I thirst for the water of enlightenment
I stand close at the water's edge
Hear it
Our fate creates the bait for our destiny.
Our destiny is our real mission & purpose.
If we await fate, our destiny will

Tonight, I'd like to sleep alone,
So I'm sorry babe, but you have to go home.
'Cause you can't stop time, though I thought

Since I can't see into the future.
That also means I cannot see
Where I'll be or what I'll be doing
Who knows what fate
In the light we will find
A chance to show our mind
Walk into that one place
Where I can see your face
You march ever on
