Great places to eat in Ocean City, MD

Ocean City is a popular summer tourist destination, and to accommodate the millions of visitors the town gets every year, there are dozens of great restaurants. Depending on what kindof food you like, you may or may not agree withthese choices, but here are some of the best places to eat in Ocean City, Maryland:

- Nick's House of Ribs
Located in northern Ocean City (almost in Delaware) on Coastal Highway and 145thStreet, Nick's House of Ribs is a nice restaurant with good food.  You can get seafood, like crab cakes or barbequed shrimp, or land food like ribs, chicken, and steak.  There is also a sports bar attached to the restaurant, where you can come to watch the game or have a drink while you're waiting for your table.  While you're there, try the crab toast.

- Phillips
Phillips has four restaurants in Ocean City alone, somewhat spread across town so that there's always one close by.  Dinner at Phillips is a staple for vacationers, who can't get enough of their delicious rolls (and seafood).  Phillips offers a buffet as well as a complete menu, but if you're going to the Phillips Crab House, be sure to leave early and beat the crowd.

- Embers
Like Phillips, Embers also offers a buffet, but this one is a little pricier at $29.99 per person ($13.95 for children). However, you won't be disappointed withthe variety of food to be found on the many carts and stations.  There's the requisite Alaskan crab legs, fried shrimp, andhush puppies, but you'll also find prime rib, lo mein, salad, pizza, and (of course) several dessert offerings.  Embers opens at 2:00 pm so you can get started early.

- Harpoon Hanna's
Technically, Harpoon Hanna's is located in Fenwick, Delaware, but it's only a stone's throw from Ocean City, right off of Route 54 at the end of 142nd Street.  Harpoon Hanna's has a full selection of seafood - including many great appetizers like bacon-wrapped scallops, coconut shrimp, and crab balls - as well as three different all-you-can-eat options to choose from: baby back ribs, Alaskan crab legs, or the "Alaskan Crab Leg & Rib Feast."  The food is delicious, and you can dine either inside by the fireplace or outside overlooking the water.  Hanna's also has an indoor bar as well as an outdoor tiki bar.

- Dumser's Dairyland
When you feel like some ice cream after dinner, head to Dumser's.  It's a popular place, and there are several locations on the boardwalk, as well as restaurants at 49th Street and 124th Street.  The 124th Street Dumser's is open for breakfast, and it's a good place to start your day before heading up to the beach.
