There probably is not a single person on earth that has vacationed or plans to vacation in the Caribbeanthat doesn’t have the expectation of taking pleasure in a little fun in the sun on a beautifully breathtaking beach.  By nature, when looking for anything, we as human’s don’t just want the best, we want the best of the best.  The amazing thing about the Caribbean is that other than

Saba and Dominica, you are going to run into some really great beaches no matter what island you are on.  Soft sand, and crystal clear waters are the “norm”.  But, there are still some beaches that are better than others.  These better beaches usually have softer sand and bluer waters.  Some  may even be on some uncharted area off the beaten path away fro the hustle and bustle of tourists and mega resorts.  Just because a beach isn’t popular or famous, doesn’t mean that it is not a superb beach. Here are some of the Caribbean’s best beaches.

Baie Orientale/ Orient Bay

Orient Bay or “Baie Orientale” as pronounced in French is actually not just one beach, but five different beaches that lay within a 2 mile stretch. Kontiki, Kakao, Bikini, Waikiki and Coco Beach are the beaches that make up this area, each given their names based off of the bars that are on them.   Many people consider this St. Maartenbeach/ cluster of beaches to be the island’s most beautiful beach area, and it is often referred to as the “St. Tropezof St. Maarten” because of it’s resemblance to the French Rivera.  The sand here is soft and white and there are a plethora of water sports in engage in like parasailing, waterskiing, snorkeling, and windsurfing.  Clothing is optional here, and some parts of the beach are full-scale nude area’s so, don’t be alarmed if you are eating or drinking at one of the many local bars and restaurants on the beach, and someone walks in completely undressed.

The Baths

This Virgin Gorda beach in the British Virgin Islandsis not just a beach, but also a national park.  This area was deemed worthy of becoming a park in order to preserve the many natural wonders that make up the area.  Due to previous volcanic activity many years ago that caused granite deposits to erode, this left the area full of huge granite boulders with the largest being about 40 feet long.  Additionally, there are many pools
