There are many great summer hotspots in the Us.  Consider the following when planning your vacation.

California

There are many hotspots in California for the summer.  For instance, you can visit the exciting zoo in San Diego.  You can time your vacation for a special event like Comic-Con, a multi-day convention celebrating superheroes, comics, fantasy, science fiction and more.  They get stars like the cast of Smallville, Angelina Jolie and more.  You can visit Los Angeles or Hollywood and try to spot the movie stars.  You can explore Malibu and its famous beaches.  You can visit Disneyland as well.

Orlando, Florida

A lot of people love to visit the theme parks in the Orlando, Florida, area during the summer.  This can be a great place for a vacation with the entire family during the summer when the children are off from school.  You can take your kids to the Magic Kingdom where they can ride on rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and Splash Mountain.  They can see shows and parades with the Disney Princesses and other characters like Mickey Mouse.  They can also go to other theme parks like EPCOT.  This can be very educational as you can learn about different cultures in the World Showcase and about the world's waterways in the Living Seas Exhibit.  You can also go on different rides like Test Track or Soarin'.  Disney's Hollywood Studios gives you a taste of what it is like to be in the movies.  You can watch a stunt show based on Indiana Jones or pretend you are in the Star Wars movie on Star Tours.  You can look through all of the different movies in the Great Movie Ride.  You can also go to Disney's Animal Kingdom, where you can see real animals and go on a pretend safari through Africa.  You can also go to Universal Studios Orlando and explore their movies.  The little ones will enjoy a Barney show and different playgrounds related to the movies.  There are also water parks and adventure parks with a lot of roller coasters in this area as well.  There is also a lot of nightlife in Church Street.  There are many restaurants and theme dinner theaters like Medieval Times and Arabian Nights. 

There are many hotspots in the United States for your summer vacations.  Consider various places in California and the theme parks in the Orlando area when planning your summer trip.
