When we met, I had so many dreams
If I printed them on paper, they would take up reams
But as you started to control me
One by one, my dreams were broken, why couldn’t you set me free?
I once wrote of writing
But now we spend all of our time fighting
I wanted to travel the world
But you treat me like I am just a stupid girl
I wanted to be a family
But you never seem to want to be with me
I wanted to go back to school
But that was against your rule
No matter how hard I seem to try
Your only goal seems to make me cry
You took all the dreams I ever had
And broke them, why do you have to treat me so bad?
As I see you walk out that door
I will pick up my dreams; I will sweep them off the floor
And put them back together one by one
Because your days of hurting me are done

Poetry: Broken dreams
Moving on should be so simple
But letting go is not as easy as it seems
It is harder than you would think
To say goodbye
I saw her falling
From such an unfathomable height
Gravity showed her no mercy
As her body plummeted to it's demise
Yet
When we met, I had so many dreams
If I printed them on paper, they would take up reams
But as you started to control me
Too Much
If someone has the answers?
I wish they would clue me in.
For life is a game,
I can’t seem to win.
Once I
broken dream
it was a dream
that seems
full of light
