There was a soda girl, just so comfy in her world.
She said she had a lot of friends, they stole all of her weekends.
She made herself skinny 'cause they wanted it.
There was a little boy, long employed by all his toys.
He left his nightlight on, working all night long.
But sometimes he would just watch, because they pitied him.
There was a desperate lad, girls in his classes made him glad.
Some seemed nice and let him in, he changed his style and tried to win.
He carried all their books 'cause they thought less of him.
There was a happy man, forever smilling in his land.
He believed and it was right, lived neither heavy nor ever light.
And when he would break into song it's 'cause he wanted to.
