You stood too long looking
at a field of carved out hearts.
now clutch your chest,
Have they taken yours too?
But with the trace of fingers gentle,
does she dare to wake you up.
Now quickly you'll find
lazy summer afternoons.
You sat long disenchanted
by a sea of empty laughs.
Now feel your smile,
Is it but porcelain?
But with the grasp of hands so glowing,
does she ensnare you out with love.
Now change your mind,
hear laughter in your dreams.
Your guitar drew a sad tune,
under a tree of fallen leaves.
do you recall,
the sound of a major chord?
But with her voice of honey,
does she call from pastures green.
now run to her,
she'll whisper you that chord.

Little Plastic Lucy
She wears a face of plastic
Lucy is her name
Her lips are tight elastic
with hair long and plain
