As we age, we normally develop lines and wrinkles especially around the mouth and the eyes.  It seems that most people in this day and age are obsessed with looking younger and feeling better about themselves.  Some people may take drastic steps such as plastic surgery.  However, the majority of people will seek less invasive alternatives such as anti-wrinkle eye creams and lotions.

Based on personal experience, I can honestly say that expensive is not necessarily better.  I have conducted my own tests using some of the most expensive eye creams Vs some of the least expensive eye creams and lotions. 

Three of my test experiments purchased two brand name eye creams from high-end department stores, which totaled $274.18.  Followed by purchasing three much less expensive eye creams from Wal-Mart. 

The plan was each night for 35 days the test subjects placed the department store eye cream on one side of the face and the cream that was purchased from Wal-Mart on the opposite side of the face. 

About every 5 days a photograph was taken of each side of the test subjects face and eyes.  Within about 10 days you began to see a noticeable difference in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in all of our test subjects.  Amazingly the eye creams purchased from Wal-Mart, which included Equate brand, and Oil of Olay yielded practically the same results as the expensive department store creams. 

At the end of the 35-day test, it was time to take notice of the long awaited results of our test.  I am not going to mention the brands of the expensive creams that were tested; as I mentioned before the less expensive eye creams were purchased at Wal-Mart both for a total of $38.56. 

Therefore, the test concluded that expensive is not always better and that in most cases you are paying for the name only.  Actually, the best results came from the Equate brand eye cream.  Equate is Wal-Mart’s generic product.  The Equate eye cream alone cost only $8.99.  The Equate eye cream seemed to live up to the promise, to make lines and wrinkles less noticeable over a period of time. 

In conclusion, there is no real reason to spend hundreds of dollars on facial and eye creams in order to receive a desired result.  One thing that we did find is that in order to maintain the desired result you have to keep using the eye cream continually.  However, at less than $10 it seems to be a worthwhile investment.
