Last year CBS started a new show called "Heroes". The show seemed to have a good start. The show is about a group of people who have a certain type of gene in their bodies which enables them to have special abilities. Claire, one of the main characters, is a cheerleader at a local high school in Odessa, Texas, her ability is the inability to die. In one of the first couple of episodes Claire went to the homecoming game for her high school and almost got raped by a guy that she liked, he then put up a little struggle and Claire fell and got a spike shoved through her head. Claire woke up in the morgue the next morning after the mortician had pulled the spike out of her head and she left the Morgue.
Another Character is Issac. Issac is a druggie. His power is one that is very unique. When Issac uses the certain type of drugs that he does, he slips into a trance-like state where he can paint scenes of what will happen in the future. He creates a bunch of paintings and incorporates them into a comic book. Issac once paints an earth shattering event, he paints New York City atomically blowing up-by someone else who has a special power. His comic book sparks the interest of a tourist from Japan named Hiro who along with his friend Ando who came to America to "save the world".
Hiro has a power that a lot of people wish that they had, he can control time. He can pause, stop, rewind, fast forward and even slow down time. Once Hiro gets to New York he finds Issac's comic on a local newsstand and thumbs through it, he sees Ando and himself, doing and saying and doing some of the exact things they had just done. Hiro then decides that he has to find Issac to ask him about the book. Hiro mistakenly went to far in time and found Issac dead, just minutes before New York exploded.
Some may say that it is hard to keep up with Heroes with the plot twists, new heroes and the constant jumping around and what not, but Heroes has proved to be a really interesting show. The plot seems to get thicker and deeper as time goes on in the show and new characters with powers just adds to the action of the show.
