When you ask a woman a questions like “Do you love your husband” is like saying, “do you like to breathe. Loving her husband is as natural to her as driving her car or living in her house. For the woman, her husband should only be second to God; she should love and respect him as if he were God. The greatest times in her life should be reflected in his smile. Every thought and every dream should rest on her husband’s broad shoulders.
My husband is smart and ambitious, he dreams big, and believes that without me, he would not succeed in any of those dreams. He is charming, women and men hang onto his every word, and his dazzling smile could charm the pants off a terrorist. However, that smile is reserved for me and his children, as he says we are the best thing he has. He is gorgeous, in an old world Italian way; he is calm, cool and collected in a suave way. He is uncompromising in business and he expects to give and get the best at all times. He is mature, caring, nurturing and religious to a fault.
As his wife I spend most of my life being his greatest cheerleader, as I believe in him, he is a gold mine and I am lucky that God has chosen him for me. He raises our children with an iron fist tempered by a loving heart. He knows that we need his strength and he is always prepared to give it to us. He believes in the sanctity of our marriage and he is very protective of it.
I believe that I must have done something right or special for such a man to be given to me, I could not have asked for more. God took the time to not only figure out what I wanted but he paid special attention to what I actually needed. I love him; I need him and believe in him. Nothing and no one will ever come between me and the love of my life, my darling husband. May God, continue to bless the union that he has allowed so that I can learn to love him even more than I do now.
So if you ask do I love my husband, the answer would be a resounding “yes” as he is the best thing to ever happen to me, second only to God.
