Unfortunately my dreams
Take a backseat to reality
I have to do what's best
For my daughter and for me
Because I have to do what's right
These cords have entwined me
And though I pray for release each night
I must respect the ties that bind me
I am tied and I am tired
And my verse feels uninspired
But the choice was mine to make
So I'm bound for my daughter's sake
