The autopsy will show
We couldn't let it grow
Bitter hearts and suspicious minds
Are not good for ties that bind
It was once so full of fire
But now it's cold as ice
I left you uninspired
And you weren't very nice
It lays upon the table
Stiff and cold you see
What we had just wasn't stable
And we were better off free
Our love is dead now
And while it isn't thrilling
The evidence will show
It was a mercy killing.
