What every working woman's wardrobe should have

Every woman is different.  Women have different lifestyles and different tastes.  Some women might love a pinstripe pants suit, while others may prefer sexy dresses, while others still prefer to live in jeans.

As such, when planning a wardrobe it is important for a woman to be true to her lifestyle and personal taste.  After all, why would she go dress shopping if she hates wearing dresses?

It is equally important to pick a good basic color.  Most women prefer dark colors for work.  Colors such as black, navy blue, gray and chocolate brown are business like, go well with anything and everything, are slimming and don’t show little accidents. Chances are you already own a few items in black, grey or brown, so you will be able to mix and match the old with the new.

A few pieces that should be in every woman’s wardrobe are classic cut slacks in basic colors, a black pencil skirt and a jacket that matches with both the slacks and the skirt.  One or two pairs of jeans will come in handy too.

Where it comes to tops, you cannot go wrong with white.  Whether you dress in a white shirt or blouse, a white turtle neck or a white V-neck sweater, white goes with everything. But don’t be afraid of adding some color.  Even though pastel colors are good choices to go with black, navy blue and grey, wine red or billiard green looks very chic on black bottoms.

Where it comes to shoes, the best choice are black pumps with a medium sized heel.  Flats may look a little too relaxed under an outfit, high heels may turn out to be uncomfortable, but a one inch heel is the perfect inbetweener.
For winter pair up a skirt with black boots and slacks with black ankle boots.
It goes without saying that black footwear demands a black bag.

In addition to stylish outfits, every woman should also have underwear she feels comfortable in.  A good fitting bra can make the difference between hiding in a corner and standing up in confidence.

Don’t forget hosiery.  Weather permitting, a stylish outfit is not complete without sheer black or skin color pantyhose or stockings.  Knee highs can be worn under slacks.  Not only will your legs look better, your feet will thank you too.

Wearing shoes with bare feet often results in blisters or a burning feet sensation.  When wearing pantyhose or stockings, this particular discomfort will be greatly reduced.
