Oh, today’s the day
I am finally on my own
No Mom! No Dad! Neither!
I am finally grown
I got my pencils and all my
Stuff
If I forget something, well,
That’s just tough
My Spiderman t shirt is
Just so cool
I wonder if they serve
Ice cream at school?
Tie your laces in a
Double knot
Brush your teeth so
Your teeth don’t rot
Remember not to eat
The paste
Even if you like the taste
Don’t push, don’t shove,
Just be polite
On the first day you don’t want
To fight
I am the new kid
Hey I’m six
Be nice to me
Not any tricks
The big yellow bus
Opened its door
Oh, no, now I am
Not sure
Todays the day I am
Finally on my own
Nope, not ready
I think I’ll stay home.
