Which team was the most disappointing in the NFL 2006-07 season?

The 2006-2007 football season was a surprising year. There were many teams that did not do what many thought they were capable of doing. The one I think was most disappointing would have to be the Carolina Panthers. Many people had them going to the Super bowl. They did not even make the playoffs. They did have a decent amount of injuries to battle through but i would have to say that coming into this year John Fox has to be on the HOT SEAT. He is a good coach but they underachieved greatly last year. With Steve Smith and Keyshawn Johnson at receiver your offense should put up numbers and there pass offense was only ranked 15th in the league. With those receivers and Jake Delhomme you should at least be in the top ten. There running game took a huge hit losing Stephen Davis. There rushing offense was at 24th in the league, and this was one of the best running teams in the years before. One upside was there defense which was 7th in total defense. But defense is a given in Carolina and shouldn't be any lower than that any way.

Another Team you could argue for biggest disappointment would be the Miami Dolphins. Many people had them winning the division. Between Daunte Culppeper not coming back healthy and Ronnie Brown underachieving there offense was pitifully. Joey Harrington came in and almost saved there season winning 5 of 6 games, but then fell back apart loosing the last three games of the year. there defense was also in the top of the league but there offense was even worse than Carolinas was.

You could take either one of these underachieving teams. They both were huge disappointments and should bounce back this upcoming year.
