How to know if a prepaid cell phone is right for you

Question, are you sure you'll have the same paycheck next month as this month? Next question, do you have great job security? Question three, do you just not talk on the phone a lot? These are only a few of the questions to think about when choosing whether to set up an account with Sprint, Verizon, or anyone else or to get a nice, little prepaid phone.

Money, Money, Money

If you have a small paycheck, only get paid for what you do and not by the hour, or maybe you are not so sure about your job security, then a prepaid phone might be in your future. Prepaid phones are cheap and there isn't any cancellation fee if you can't afford it next month. One of the most commonly used prepaid phones is Boost. You can buy a cheap twenty to forty dollar phone and purchase minute cards whenever your running low or go into a Boost store and pay around twenty dollars a month for a very nice deal. You are not required to set up an account or anything, just pay for what you need.

Usage

If you are working for a big business as a secretary or something in that area, then you shouldn't even be reading this article, you should be in a phone store setting up an account with them because you'll be on your phone pretty often most likely. Now, if you don't need to take calls from your boss every five minutes to go get them coffee, and you aren't a party-hard, let's gossip all day, type of person, then a prepaid phone should be in your options. You can buy a cheap fifteen dollar minute card and have a small amount of minutes a month, but no more than you need. This is a lot cheaper than paying a monthly bill with a company that can get up into the hundreds of dollars. Keep in mind, certain cards won't allow you to use internet, so make sure to read the small print before purchasing anything.

Whatever your situation in life is, most people need a cellular phone. If your situation fits anything described above, then a simple prepaid phone is probably the safest choice and could be in your near future. Now, if your situation doesn't fit any of these descriptions and your just a penny pincher, then I suppose you can go get one too.
