The subtitle to this article could actually be “Why Not Use YouTube?” After all, videos have become an extremely powerful marketing tool for any business, large or small. A picture might be worth the proverbial 1,000 words, but a video could be worth hundreds of thousands of hits.

YouTube can be a great way for your business to break into video marketing. To use video marketing you need video production tools to produce your video footage. Unfortunately, YouTube sometimes mysteriously deletes your videos or prevents them from being embedded into your web page. The results could be disastrous if this happens; imagine the despair you'd feel if this occurs just after you launch a new ad campaign incorporating an embedded video hosted by YouTube.
YouTube also displays links and advertising that you do not control. All in all, hosting your own videos is a much more professional way to conduct your video marketing.
