Why Should We Go On This Way?

Lately I’ve been on my knees
I’ve been praying for me and you everyday
If you want me to love you
Let me love you in my own special way.

Because I’m laughing with my friends
And you think something’s going on
But if you don’t stop getting jealous
This relationship is gone.

If we can’t find a way out of these problems
Why should we go on this way?

Don’t know why you’re acting this way
I don’t remember being chained
But one thing’s for sure
I can’t endure any more pain.

Because my heart can’t breathe
It’s like a stake driven through my heart
We’ve got to work this out
Or else we’ll never get too far.

It feels like I’m losing my senses
It feels like I’m losing my defences
Where do I begin and where do you end?
If only you could see
How much this is killing me
Baby, can’t you see I’m only human?
I’m in a daze, bewildered and stumbling
I can feel my self esteem crumbling
Well, I want to scream,
These are the arms that hold you
These are the lips that kiss you
Why would I bother with anybody else?
