My Child, why is it that you weep?
Why do nightmares invade your sleep?
Why are you sad for the life you have been given?
You are too young to join the dead and leave the living.
"I cry for myself and this never-ending fight,
I am in a dark place where there is no light,
Demons surround my tortured mind,
I seek an exit I can never find."
My Child, why is it that you cry?
Don't you trust me? To you I would never lie,
I do not operate in deceit and hate,
To leave it all now is not your fate.
"I cry for the suffering that others must suffer,
It kills me to see the pain of another,
Evil is rife in this dark cold land,
There is no relief, no helping hand."
My Child, why is it that you despair?
Life was never meant to be fair,
Suffering is part of your very existence,
Only the weak put up any form of resistance."
"THEN I WANT TO BE WEAK! I WANT TO RESIST!
GET ME OUT OF THIS BLINDING SUFFOCATING MIST!
WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE SUCH PAIN?
YOU EXPECT MUCH OF ME, YET YOU LEAVE ME TO BE SLAIN!"
Child, listen to me while I am still free to speak
Before the darkness returns and I am forced to be meek,
When you weep I shed a thousand tears
When you cry I cry for a hundred years
When you despair and wish to forever depart
It is like an arrow has shot straight through my heart.
I care so much I cannot describe this love
I watch you every second from the skies above
I see how demons try to put you to rest
But you must be strong and pass this test.
One day I will tell you why this has to be
But for now I want you to have faith in me,
When you call upon strength I will give you mine
When you doubt your life I will send you a sign,
You have the gift of love, the greatest weapon,
No greater weapon is admired in Heaven,
Than the ability to fight with the might of compassion,
To be brave and loving and hold the sword of passion.
Stay by my side, I will never leave you,
I promise every word I say is true,
They will trick you into thinking I have abandoned you
But that is something I could never do.
The road of life is filled with spikes and thorns,
But if it were easy no one would ever be born
Remember, I am always here in your darkest hour,
Remember that love is your greatest power.

Poetry: Faithfulness
by Mary Guimont
In my imagination I can see
a world so clear.
Once so far
but now so near to me.
One where the sky
Is always blue
There is
My Child, why is it that you weep?
Why do nightmares invade your sleep?
Why are you sad for the life you have been given?

On my life I promise
To always love you
On my life I promise
My love will forever be true
On my life I promise

The face no longer sparkles,
the voice no longer feels like singing.
The body measures every weight,
the muscles strain

Faithfulness
Holds
If the ship
Is blessed
With
His needs and
Her needs
Fishing is fun
In green mountains
But where the sun
Is hot
