Most people are leading frenetic and chaotic lives these days. Their work, home and other commitments are consuming all of their time and energy, leaving little, if any time for anything else. Exercise may be relegated to the back burner, if it is even a consideration at all. Figuring out how to balance all of the commitments of family, work, church and other obligations can seem like the impossible. Although it will be a challenge, it can be done, as long as you think that exercise is something important enough to squeeze into a schedule.
There are ways that people can incorporate exercise into those very busy schedule without having to go out of their way to do so, and without having to spend the money to join the gym.
*Commit to a daily walk -
If you can't squeeze in the time to do a formal walk, make a point of walking for 15 minutes on your lunch hour. Another way to get your daily walk in is by walking from your home to a train station or bus station. You can also walk from the point where you get off the train or bus to your place of employment.
If you have a dog, the dog will need to be walked regularly. An early morning walk with the dog will accomplish the daily exercise, and you'll be giving the dog exercise at the same time. Make a point of taking a dog for a brisk walk a couple of times a day. This is good for both you and the dog.
*Incorporate exercise into activities with the kids -
When you take your kids places, make a point of incorporating some simple exercise into the activities. If you go to a museum, walking around the museum counts. If you go to a swimming pool, playing around in the pool (like throwing a ball,) or swimming a bit can count as exercise. Pitching a ball for your kids so that they can practice batting is good for you and it's good for them. So is playing catch.
*Take the stairs -
If you work or live in a building where there is an elevator and you could also take the stairs, why not take the stairs instead of the elevator? In the time you spend waiting for the elevator, you might be able to arrive at your destination before you would have had you taken the elevator. You will get some easy aerobic exercise without having to go to great lengths to do so. If you do this even four times a day (when you get to your place of employment, go downstairs and back up for lunch and when you leave to go home,) you will have gotten a good dose of aerobic exercise in. You will also save the cost of a gym membership where you might go to
