The Life of An Eagle

After working all through the Winter building the massive nest to lay the eggs in the Spring, the pair of powerful birds take turns sitting on the eggs.  When the eggs hatch their Young Chicks the Pair work diligently bringing food to their young.  It is very important to get the chicks as large as they can, since they know the chicks will never fly without their coaxing, and the chicks need to be able to protect themselves when they are forced away from the nest.

When the time is right the Parents start disassembling the huge nest.  As the nest grows smaller and smaller, the chicks realize they will have to go.  The only way to give them any incentive to leave the protective home is destroy it.  They would not fly away on their own.  When they do fall out of the nest they find out they can fly.

An Eagle lives a very lengthy life with only one Mate.  They are the most powerful Bird that we know of.  I find it very interesting how they live and die.  An Eagle somehow knows when it is close to it's demise.  They will spend nearly as much time searching for this place as building a Nest.

Eagles search out a place of their choosing to pass on.  They must be facing the sun, perched comfortably at the place they choose.  Sometimes it takes days for the end to come, but they are proud and patient Birds.  They are afraid of nothing.  I think Humans should take a lesson from the Eagle's life.

They come from being a small feathery Creature to dominate the Skies.  They also will discard any food that they suspect may be toxic, no matter how hungry they are.  The Pair, being the Parents spend their entire Lives with the same Mate, and will never look for or acknowledge their Young after they leave the nest.  Just think!  How would it be to spend some time searching out A place to pass away and know when it was going to happen.  I would personally like the whole scenario, with the exception of never seeing my Children again.  Eagles aren't only the most powerful Birds, but by far the most intelligent.
