Older men- it turns out they're not all they cracked up to be... Here's my advice. I recently dated a man that was 10 years older than myself. It went well for 6 months or so, but during this time frame I ignored all the signs that he was not what I needed.

First off, I was attracted to him for all the reasons we date older guys: stability, maturity, and of course not into playing those "games" that so many guys these days like to play. But it turns out there is a saying that applied in this situation but I ignored- He's 35 and single for a reason. It was completely true! He had so many past issues with past girlfriends that he convinced himself that he was not the marriage or relationship type and no one would want to be with him. he apparently suffered from a lack of self esteem. He also ended up being more immature than any of the guys I've dated my own age. He was too stuck in his ways that he was unable to let me in his life.

So what it comes down to is it's fine to date an older guy- just make sure he's not 35 and single for a reason. And emotional baggage is never something you want to try and deal with. Also make sure he's not on the rebound... I could write a book with a list of undatable guys:)
