Created on: July 16, 2010

Ryan Higa, known on YouTube as NigaHiga, is the owner of the most subscribed channel on YouTube.  As of this writing, NigaHiga has more than 2,500,00 subscribers who tune in to his channel on a regular basis. There are more than 80,500,000 views to his channel and his videos have been viewed more than a half billion times. Higa is the face and personality of the videos that specialize in comical and fictional advertisements that are under different labels within the channel. 'Skitzo' is a series of short skits and 'Movies in Minutes' feature short remakes of popular films and movies.

Right now, NigaHiga has more than 62 videos uploaded to YouTube. In 2008, there were two videos removed, due to copyright issues, including 'How To Be a Gangster' and 'How To Be Emo'. The channel has created its own commercial movie, known as 'Ryan and Sean's Not So Excellent Adventure', starring Michael Buckley. Ryan Higa is a Japanese-American comedian from Hilo, Hawaii and his first few videos featured his friends Sean Fujiyoshi, Tim Enos and Tarynn Nago, who were known on YouTube as 'The Yabo Crew'. Higa has since relocated to Las Vegas where he is busy studying nuclear medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).

Higas YouTube channel - NigaHiga - is currently the most subscribed to channel of all time - with over two million subscribers and his private videos are sometimes re-uploaded by fans. In 2006, Ryan Higa and Sean Fujiyoshi started posting videos on YouTube of themselves lip-synching to their favorite songs. They were instantly popular and they soon added a variety of skits and comedy videos. On January 21, 2009, NigaHiga's account was suspended and he was ordered to remove more of his videos. Because of the issues, all of NigaHiga's lip-synched videos were removed  as well as several other videos that included unauthorized music.

Because of the removal of videos, all of the music played in NigaHigas videos is music he composed himself. YouTube had a change of heart and 'How to be Gangster' and 'How to be Emo' were put back on NigaHigas YouTube channel, in August 2009. But, the videos were removed a few days later, as well as 'How to be Ninja' and 'How to be a Nerd'. At one time Higa and Fujiyoshi had more than 90 videos for their fans to enjoy, but due to copyright infringement, more than 20 videos were removed. In the early part of 2010, YouTube put 'How to be Ninja', 'How to be Gangster' and 'How to be Emo' back in the line-up.
