Songs: Eyes

by Toni Doswell

Created on: July 16, 2010

Piercing into the eyes of others I see.

Each pair of eyes tell stories like an open book that is free.

For eyes can be happy or sad, lonely or welcome, peaceful or fearful.

In our world today.

Piercing into the eyes of others I also see.

Traces of their own personal histories.

For eyes reveal the trials and triumps at a glance.

Try as one may try to hide it, one look is one chance.

        To vividly see.

Eyes tell our stories, even secrets and mysteries.

Chorus:  Eyes, eyes, no matter how hard I try.

You open me to the world from which I try to hide.

Eyes, eyes, whether I smile, laugh, or cry.

You make it impossible for me to lie.
